Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Following as we are having the same issue....
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I have recently started using new Outlook since we will be required to use it when they update our equipment later this year. I tried to update a distribution list which shows me as an Owner, but there is not option for me to add or remove members. When I right click on the name of the distribution list, there is an option "Add to List: but is greyed out. There is not option to edit members, etc.

Thanks for the information Microsoft Agent, however the online version using Manage via Outlook on the Web (OWA) - (Your Most Likely Solution) is not supported or at least I don't see that option.
Here is another one I am using that will help - that is online and shows DLs that you belon to and DL that you own, it's refer to groups but that is DLs
Exchange admin center - this url is https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/?page=groups&form=owa_groups#/
I have the exact same problem.
I work as IT, my users asked me why they couldn't change member lists of their distribution lists where there are owners anymore.
After diagnostic I can confirm that to this date there is no option for distribution lists owners to edit member lists.
The only way to edit member list is via Exchange Admin Center. This was not the case before...
Regards,
Matt

Hi Courtney,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.
The reason you likely can’t manage a Distribution List (DL) you own in the new Outlook is that New Outlook (and Outlook on the Web) primarily supports managing personal Contact Groups, but organization-wide Distribution Lists (or Distribution Groups) are managed centrally via the Exchange/Microsoft 365 Admin Center. The new Outlook client offers a streamlined experience but defers full DL management to the admin portals, even for owners.
Here are your best options to manage the DL:
1.Access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center / Exchange Admin Center (If you have Admin Privileges):
2.Manage via Outlook on the Web (OWA) - (Your Most Likely Solution):
3.Use Classic Outlook Desktop (If you still have access):
4.Contact Your IT Administrator:
If none of the above solutions work, let me know for further investigation. Please note that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
Kind regards,
