- Please first use your account to login OWA (Outlook Web App) **** and check whether you get the same issue in outlook web, thanks. For your reference Set up Outlook to use S/MIME encryption - Microsoft Support Open encrypted and protected messages - Microsoft Support
- Ensure that you are using the latest version of Outlook. If not please check the result after updating. For your reference Check for updates in Outlook - Microsoft Support
- Seemly you have got some error information, if yes please kindly share a complete screenshot with me, thanks.
- What's your type of account(buisness account within business subscription/outlook.com/hotmail.com/live.com/msn.com/imap account/pop account)
