Hello-
I am looking to upgrade our Office 2016 Standard installation to Office 2016 ProPlus. I am using volume media and msi-based installation as opposed to Click-to-Run. I am hoping to push out the upgrade using group policy.

It looks like my first step is to customize the installation using the config.xml file located in my \Office\proplus.ww directory. However, I have not been able to locate a reference guide regarding customization of the config.xml file. Any suggestions?

The ODT download from Microsoft appears to be for Click-to-Run installations only. I have been unable to locate an ODT for Office 2016 for MSI-based installations. Does this ODT for MSI-based still exist?

Thanks

    @PSFA

    ODT is for C2R-based installation technology. For msi-based installation of Office, we need to use Office Customization Tool (OCT), which is included in the Office installation package to customize Office.

    I find some related references as following, you may have a look.
    Use the OCT to customize Office 2013
    Setup command-line options reference for Office 2013
    Config.xml file reference for Office 2013
    Office Customization Tool (OCT) reference for Office 2013

    Hope this information could help you.
