Some formulas in this workbook are linked to other workbooks that are closed. When these formulas are recalculated in earlier versions of Excel without opening the linked<br> workbooks, characters beyond the 255-character limit cannot be returned.

I could not locate any formulae in my worksheets, pls advise how do i find these formulae.

As per my understanding.

You are linking an closed file> then how do you save the file format?

Because if its not compatible then you should get the compatibility error or you are not updating the link properly.

Check the file format if you are saving properly.

Its like using adavcne forumla in excel 2007 and saving it in excel 2003 file format.

And that is how it returns an error for you!

Click on forumlas > name manager and check if the label has got reference to any other name or check in data> connections> connections and remove links for sources.

This response does not make any sense.  How did you identify where the errors were that needed to be fixed if you could not find any links to external files in your workbook?
