Endnotes creates blank pages that cannot be deleted

I have inserted endnotes by section into a long document, but I did not want them at the end of each section, so all I could do was to copy and paste them to the end of the document. That was fine, but Word has created blank pages as a result, which CANNOT be deleted by any means I have yet found. I have tried in every different view. NOTHING.

I tried copying the document from its end, without including the blank pages at the end, but they still appeared in the new pasted version.

any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

Actually, "...copy and paste them to the end of the document" wasn't all you could do :-) Try this instead;

  1. Position the insertion point at the beginning of the document,
  2. Go to Insert> Footnote
  3. Choose Endnotes in the Location section & select End of Document from the adjacent list
  4. In the Apply Changes section select Whole Document
  5. Click the Apply button (rather than Insert)
