Remove HTML formatting?

I have a large workbook (40MB) that uploads and processes raw data from various internal reports.

I've been getting some intermittent problems where the workbook appears to save fine, but reports errors when opening (but it then opens/repairs without any addition issues).

I just got a warning "Excel was able to open the file by repairing or removing the unreadable content. Removed feature: View from /xl/worksheets/sheet8.xml part"

Several users have access to this file and may copy/paste content within sheets or possible even from other XL2007 workbooks.

What does this error mean, and if it means that I have special HTML formatting, what is the best way to remove it without removing any of my regular formatting (cell shading, conditional formatting, etc)?

Thanks,

Keith

I'll give that a try; I did note that the microsoft source page does not indicate that this has been upgraded for Excel2007, so hopefully it will still clean rows and columns outside of the 64K row and 254 column size of the 2003 workbooks (one worksheet has 80K rows of data in it)

"Supported versions of Microsoft Excel: Microsoft Excel 97, Microsoft Excel 2000, Microsoft Excel 2002, and Microsoft Office Excel 2003."

I'll post back and close the thread if the problem is resolved.

    Thanks!

The error means that a custom view was removed from sheet 8...
