Access 2010 Insert Image Grayed out

Loaded up 2010 the other day and can't get the Insert image to activate under the Form Design Tools, Design section on the ribbon. It was easy to add images, OLE objects in 2003 but I am stumped here. Found the the properties of the form a way to add a background image but it won't let me position it to where I want it.

Any help appreciated.

James

For this control to be active you must be in Design view, if you happen to be in Layout View, Datasheet or Form views it will not be available.

You might also try Form Design Tools, Design, open the Controls gallery and choose Image, the last item in the gallery.

Thanks for the response, I followed your path and still saw the Insert Image to the RIGHT of the Gallery. But then I noticed the scroll box on the Gallery and scrolled down - VOLIA! There they were. I wonder why there is an Insert Image to the right of the Gallery and that it is grayed out. None the less, you pointed me in the right direction.

    Thanks!

Thank YOU James...good grief who'd have thought to scroll to find images...I only lost about half an hour looking with the greyed out "insert image"!  Thanks again.

Thanks for that reply.  It had me scratching my head also.  Why is the Insert Image icon there at all if it's greyed out?  Did Microsoft forget to remove it when they revamped 2007 to create 2010?
