For some reason, the paste function stopped working! I am in a plain Word document (no weird formatting - just a letter) and when I highlight text (again, no weird formatting or in a header, etc.), then cut (or copy) and then go to another part of the document and click paste, nothing happens. There's no weird symbol or space or anything, it just doesn't do anything. This is true for the right-click, the menu and quick keys (Ctrl-V). It worked fine yesterday and nothing has changed (that I know of). Help! Thanks!
P.S. It's the new version of Word, if that matters.

I seemed to have repaired this by using ctrl+v once. Then all options seemed to work using right click. I found that I have to use ctrl+v first in a document then all other options work, however if I try to paste by using right click first then it does not work.
Are you sure something is actually copied? What if you try to paste it elsewhere, in notepad for example, does that work?
Also, you might want to check your template for any macros which might override the paste option. Or perhaps an add-in. The easiest way to check this would be to start Word in safe mode (hold down the CTRL key while starting Word from the Windows start menu) and see if it works then.
