All formulas return 0

IN Excel 2003 every formula is returning the answer 0.  Even simple formulas such as =5+2. This is true whether I enter the formula or use the sum sign on the toolbar.  All formulas do the same thing (addition, multiplication, subtractiondivision & sum)   I checked and made sure that all cells were formatted as currency or accounting and neither worked.   The cells are not rounding and the answers are not limited by decimal points.

What happens if you set macro security to Medium (Tools > Macro > Security), close and reopen the Excel file?

Upon reopen, if you are prompted to enable or disable macros, what happens if you click Disable?

    Hello,

I've just fixed it by ticking the iterative calculation in File\options\formula.

Hi! the same issue still appear after I've adjusted the Macro security.

I've tried to turned from automatic to manual:

    File\options\formula

However, this mode cannot solve the root cause as my worksheet need to be automated by formulas.

    Please help

    thanks

Thank you so much.  That fixed it.  No idea how it got changed.

Actually, disabling macros was not intended to fix anything.  Instead, it was simply a diagnostic approach to identify the root cause of the problem.

You never said what happened.  If you were prompted to disable macros and you did, that suggests that you might have one or more event macros that are misbehaving.

Since enabling macros might be necessary for the correct operation of the workbook eventually, it would behoove you to isolate the misbehaving macro and correct or remove it.
