I installed Office 2010.  Everything works fine except in Excel when I open up a new or existing spreadsheet it does not have the grid lines.

I can set the worksheets individually however there must be a default setting for all worksheets

Hi,

File tab > Options > Advanced > Show gridlines.

If this doesn't work you can create a template with the desired settings and save it as Book.xltx(macro disabled) in the Excel folder XLStart . Each new workbook based on this template.

Regards,

Frank

I've upgraded from Excel 2007 to Excel 2010.  I'm looking for a way to change the DEFAULT 2010 gridline color/style to match what I had in 2007.  I don't mean the default for newly created workbooks, nor how to manually change an individual workbook -- I want all existing workbooks from whatever source to default to displaying the gridlines in the same color/style I choose, just as 2007 does now.  I don't remember now whether it was the default, but 2007 uses an unobtrusive faint grey/blue solid line -- 2010 is defaulting to a distracting dark black dotted line when I open existing workbooks.  Where is the setting to accomplish this?  Thanks!
