Validating Office XP without internet connection

I'm trying to update to Office XP from Office 2000 on a computer without internet access.  It loads fine but says I must validate it online within so many days or it will stop functioning.  How do I validate this install without internet access to this computer?

    Use the phone activation method instead. Links and telephone numbers are given when you try to activate via the Internet and the activation fails. You can also contact Microsoft Support directly to walk you through the process of activation. Activation support calls are free as long as they are only about the activation of a product.
