Using INK in Powerpoint

I use a tablet PC and use ink to mark up slides during presentations. In previous versions of PPT, I could selct the INK option on the first slide, and it would continue throughtout the prresentation. In 2010, I have to select INK every slide, which makes it useless during a slide show..is there a way to lock in the INK option for a full presentation?
