I have purchased a bamboo pen table to use on my computer. When I went to use it would not work. Have talked to them and they advised that I needed to look in my office programs under review for the pen icon which is missing. Can't get any help from microsoft. Does anyone know how to activate that pen.  I also have went into the control panel and program and went into where it says turn window feature on and off and made sure that the pc table was check mark and it was. Why isn't my pen showing up on my office 2007 profession programs.

Any help would really be appreciated

Linda

You may follow these steps to ____ Ink tools pen tab:

1.     Open Word 2007 > Click on Office button > Word options > Customize.

2.     Choose Ink Tools Pens Tab by taping the arrow at Choose command from.

3.     Add ink and pen icons by using Add button.

    Hello

I am also having the same problem.  I have a bamboo pen and I used to be able to "ink" in Word 2007 but I am now unable.

I updated the Bamboo drivers as suggested and Journal work OK but the Word 2007 buttons are greyed out.

    Microsoft, any thoughts?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I have the same issue, same pen (Bamboo), under Win7 x64. I tried your solution and though it does add the buttons to where I want them, they are always greyed out.

Any ideas on how to solve this pls?

    Thnx.

Yes, I can work on Windows journal.  I have updated all drivers but the start inking option on the review tab in any of the office 2007 application is not showing up as an options. They said there should be an icon of a ink pen right next to the protect document button but it is not there. I need to know if there is a way to get it there and to make it function.

Verify whether you can work on Windows Journal using the bamboo pan.

Click on Start > All Programs > Tablet PC > Windows Journal

If you are unable to use the pen then update the drivers for it. You may contact the hardware manufacturer for help to install the driver.
