I am trying to build a Table of Contents.
I have no problems beginning a new document.
I have an existing document that I am attempting to insert a TOC
After formating it, and selecting "insert TOC", the table splits itself in the document
Chapters 1-4 are at the beginning of the document, but Chapter 5-8 in the TOC are pasted in the document at Chapter 5. Chapter 5 is a one page chapter that contains, the Chapter 5 and title and then a large image. I have tried reducing the size of the image to no avail. Why is the TOC splitting itself and how can I correct this?

Done that about 25 times. No help
Try deleting the TOC and creating a new one. Make sure that you insert the new TOC in a paragraph by itself. Actually, you should add a few empty paragraphs just in case (by pressing Enter a few times).
