Pivot Table Refresh Maintain Conditional Formatting

I have created a Pivot Table that dynamically pulls data from a database.

I have applied conditional formatting to the cells within the pivot table to indicate varying statuses, however, the conditional formatting goes haywire when I refresh the data in the pivot table.

Any ideas?

P.s. the conditional formatting does not disappear entirely - some cells are still formatted conditionally, but incorrectly. Other cells are left without conditional formatting. I want a way to refresh the pivot table and have conditional formatting applied to new cells as well as old cells.

The problem has suddenly stopped occurring. This is the second instance where I would like to close the question without having to mark an answer as having answered it (you should be able to mark your own answer as what solved the issue or close the question as the problem is no longer occurring - as is what happened in this case).
