You are right and for some reason, Word won't let me use the shortcut for Superscript either. But if you change to Print Layout View and click on the equation, there will be a new purple "Equation Tools" tab on the Ribbon. Use the first of the "Script" structures.
how do i write subscripts using equation?
I'm trying to write in equation in Microsoft Word for Mac 2011. When I'm in 'equation tools' on the ribbon, the subscript and superscript buttons are greyed out so I can't do what's needed.
Any thoughts?
Cheers
NO worries - I've found it! Nothing like a bit of perseverance :)
