Cannot export data from Access into Excel with macros attaxched anymore

I have Access 2010. I have fiddled with the security settings in the Trust Centre because I was having trouble exporting some reports.  I used to be able to export data from access to excel and the excel file was exported with macros attached. This was done by opening a form and clicking on an export button. The code behind this was not written by me. Now I can export the data into excel but there are no macros in the spreadsheet (these are simply to format the layout of the spreadsheet). I figure I've turned something off somewhere but can't find where. In the Trust Centre I have enabled all ActiveX controls to run without restrictions and enabled all macros. I have asked the message bar to notify me when anything as been blocked but there are never any notifications. Are you able to make any suggestions please? Thank you

Erica

I have a couple of questions for you.

    1. What is the code that is exporting?
    2. Just exporting to Excel wouldn't have macros anyway so you must have been exporting to an existing workbook.  What are you trying to export to now?  Are you trying to export to an xlsm file or xlsx?
