Hi,

My network shows next to the items that I know of also the following one

qjthub.docs.live.net@ssl

I do not know what it is and I cannot connect to it because I get the following error when I try it :

Error code : 0x80070035 The network path was not found.

I have the feeling that it has something in common with the Office 2010 Live Apps.

Can somebody help me with this mistery ?

Hi Sloeberke,

*.docs.live.net refers to files hosted on SkyDrive.  As stated earlier, this could be a OneNote notebook that is synching to SkyDrive but accessed through Microsoft OneNote 2010, but it could also be a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint document accessed in the same way.  I'm not sure how the alphanumeric combination at the start of the path is generated but mine is m0nacu.

Do you use Office files on Office Web Apps or a network location?

You may refer to the following threads which addresses the same issue:

I think this is a connection started by One Note, which is part of Microsoft Office. When you launch One Note from Office 2010 for the first time it prompts you to connect to the cloud, to Office Live or live.com. It sets up a network connection like the one you describe. It seems like that if One Note does it, other Office applications might do something similar.

    @ Charlie and Rob

    Thanks for your answers.

It was a OneNote notebook that was synching to SkyDrive.

I stopped using the online OneNote notebook and keep it offline.

I prefer to do the synching between my desktop and my netbook computers via Windows Live Mesh.

By doing so, I always have all my files with me wherever I am.

Thanks again for helping me and a happy 2011 to you.
