When I pring out my envelope it prints the mailing address in double space and because of the double spacing only part of the address is printing. How do I change the envelope spacing to none?

Modify the Envelope Address style to suit your needs. In particular, you would want to choose "Single" for line spacing and zero for spacing before/after.

In Word 2007 or 2010, press Ctrl+Shift+S to display the Apply Styles pane. Type Envelope Address and then click the Modify button. Change the desired settings. In particular, for line spacing and spacing before/after, click Format, and then click Paragraph. When you are done, click OK to return to the Modify Style dialog. If you want to transfer the modified style to your template, select "New documents based on this template" before clicking OK in the Modify Style dialog box.

    1. Click the Home tab on the Ribbon.
    2. Click the little arrow in the lower right corner of the Styles group.
    3. In the Styles dialog box, click the Manage Styles button at the bottom (the right-most of the three buttons).
    4. In the "Select a Style to edit" list box, scroll down to and select Envelope Address (Hide Until Used).
    5. Click the Modify button.
    6. Click the Format button, then select Paragraph.
    7. Set the Before and After combination boxes to 0 (zero).
    8. Set the Line Spacing list box to Single.
    9. Click OK.
    10. Click the "New documents based on this template" radio button.
    11. Click OK.

Repeat the above for the "Envelope Return (Hide Until Used)" style.

To single-space your envelope address, once you've clicked on "paragraph" in the "format" tab, set line spacing to "single," and before/after spacing to zero. Outline level should read "body text."  Click "OK" and choose "new documents based on this template."  Seems strange that Microsoft makes line spacing such a chore.   BKD.
