Problem with protected worksheet function

I am trying to export data from Quickbooks to an existing Excel workbook and I get a message that Excel won't allow the export to a protected or shared worksheet. I have checked the toolbar functions and the protect functions are not employed. Is there something else I can try?

What is the exact error message that you receive?

Do you get the error if exported to a new excel workbook?

File is not shared or protected.

    Perhaps the file is shared?

Review-->Share workbook. Make sure it's not checked.
