How do I disable One Note ?

Since I could not get an answer as to why my Product Key is not accepted to use Microsoft Word 2007, I downloaded a trial version of Office 2010 just so I could view and edit documents.   Now when I want to send a doc to the printer, One Note starts up and I have to click off two unwanted pages.....all I want to do is print, not save to a folder, not have One Note appear on the print page.  I would still like to know why I cannot use the 2007 version which was supposed to be loaded on this Laptop.

I can't tell you what's wrong with Word 2007 based upon the scant information you've offered but to get your printer settings corrected click Start | Devices and Printers, find the printer you DO want to print to, right-click it and choose "Set as Default."

Oh, my bad..I did not know that 'One Note' was a 'printer'......

The trial is only good for 60 days ... (unless you know the secret we aren't supposed to mention)

If you want to try again to activate 2007, here are the generic activation alternatives you can try:

Invalid - "This is not a valid Office product key. Verify that you have the correct key and retype it." http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2002262

This behaviour occurs for one or more of the following reasons.:

• You have a Trial Version of Office installed that is “intercepting” the activation attempt, uninstall it first
• Check the numbers and letters on the product key. Sometimes the number eight (8) can resemble a capitalized B, and a number zero (0) can resemble a capitalized O. Copy the product key from an email message to avoid typing errors.
• Make sure that you are not using a product key from an older version of Office. These product keys will not work with Office 2010.
• Do not use a product key that might be attached to the bottom of your laptop, or on the back of your desktop computer. These are usually the Microsoft Windows product keys and will not work with Office 2010.
• If a Product Key Card was purchased at a retail store and activated at the register, do not use the key that is inside the card to unlock Office 2010. You must logon to the website listed on the card and follow the instructions to obtain the actual product key for the version of Office that you purchased.
• A product key for an Office 2010 stand-alone product (such as Microsoft Visio Professional 2010) will not be accepted as a product key for an Office 2010 suite. It is important to match the product key to the product for which it is specified.
• Volume License product keys will not be accepted for a retail Office 2010 product.
• Windows Product ID: 00426-068-0288566-86858 - The 068 is the MSDN indicator. Your entire retail box and its contents is a counterfeit product, including the COA sticker.

In Windows 7, even when you are logged in as administrator, UAC no longer gives you “Full” administrator rights. To get all of the access you now also have “run as administrator”

It appears there is an error where your userid is not being allowed to update the activation information.

What you need to do is "runas admin":
