Error message: there is insufficient memory or disk space. close extra windows and save your work.

When the message: "there is insufficient memory or disk space. close extra windows and save your work" appeared, I rebooted and tried again to paste an Internet article into Word to save it. This didn't solve the problem.

Task Manager says: "64.8 GB of available Hard Disk Drive space; CPU Usage around 4%; and PF Usage is around 640 MB".

So, why do I keep getting the "insufficient memory or disk space" message?

What else can I do to fix it?

Thank you for replying, Ganesh.

My Word version is 2000 (9.0.2720).

I use Microsoft Security Essentials and it is on at this time.

Just a moment ago, after I read your reply, I tried to paste an article off the Internet into Word again. This time Word worked fine.

I also tried your tip about Notepad and that works, too. (Of course, the Notepad solution does away with all the links and photos in the article.)

Perhaps the problem was just an aberration.

Thank you for your help.

Luis

Which version of Word do you use?

Refer the link below for more information on the same issue.

Also try to paste the text in notepad. Then copy the content from notepad to Word and check how it works.
