I have several drop-down lists in an Excel 2010 workbook, and they all work fine, except for the last few I have created. These new ones work fine after I create them, but after I save, close, and re-open the file, they are gone, as if I never created them. What's going on here? Thanks!

I found a solution, but I don't know why the problem ever started. I created the drop-down lists in the typical way: highlight the cell, choose "Data Validation," Allow List, choose the source for the drop-down list.
I had to Save-As, and choose "workbook with macros enabled." I don't know why, because all the earlier drop-down lists continued to work. And I don't know how my workbook ever transformed from one form to the other anyway.
I think better documentation by Microsoft is in order here.
