Ink function not available

I have office pro and windows 7 pro, tablet pc options installed.

I can use windows journal with my wacom bamboo OK

BUT in Word (or any office app) the start inking on the review ribbon is not there (as it is on my desktop machine) I have added INK and new drawing to the quick access ribbon and they both appear greyed out

What have I missed?

Microsoft 365 and Office | Word | For home | Windows

Try the following steps:

1)    Click on Start and the right-click on Computer

2)    Select Properties

3)    Check what is displayed besides: ‘Pen and Touch:’ as shown in the picture below

If it says ‘No pen or touch input is available for Display’, then it means the ink feature is not available.

    Not helpful at all whatsoever.

    Stop using this article as the solution to the problem, because it solves nothing. I have "Pen Input Available", yet the buttons are still grayed out. (or greyed out for some of you)

    I have finally found the solution for this.

    Step 1: Go to settings by clicking 'file', then 'options'.

    Step 2: Go to 'customise ribbon' 

    Step 3: Check the 'draw' box

    Step 4: Go to the document you wish to draw on and click on the 'draw' ribbon

    Step 5: Draw away! :)
