Outlook Stops after initial open: error code 2146959355

All of a sudden Outlook stopped operating and gave this error:  error code 2146959355

Tried: un-installing Google Sync, Outlook Sync, Repairing Office 2007 Standard, Re-installing Office 2007.

What gives??? Everything has been good for a year now????

Hi

I think this is a Sync Client problem, but anyway try this

(*BACKUP*) PLEASE, your REGISTRY Also

  1. Close outlook completely (or reboot and don't open it)
  2. Backup your systems registry
  3. open regedit
  4. Goto "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib{00062FFF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}"
  5. Delete the and only THE Key "9.3" or just rename it
  6. close regedit
  7. reopen outlook.

    Hey Joao,

    Went back and just did a re-name of the Key "9.3" folder to "Dumb"

    Re-naming seemed to be the trick instead of deleting the folder.

    Outlook has been stable now for over 24 hours of heavy use.

    Joao,

    Spoke too soon.

    Everything seemed to be working fine, until I was re-setting my sync. options in Outlook 2007 tools.

    Then the same issues/error codes cropped up.

    I deleted the Key "9.3"

    Any insight now?
