Double Click closes program??????

When I double click the Microsoft Office button the program automatically closes.  Is there a way to turn off this feature?

No. This behavior is similar to what happens in other programs if you double-click the icon on the far left of the title bar.

    I hate this feature. There is already a perfectly good X button for closing Word. Why the heck do I need another shortcut that's too easy to activate by accident.
