Error message "Office application version does not match."

Every time I open Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint I get the error message "Office application version does not match." I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Office 2007 and that did not help.

Additionally, I tried the following:

and I get the message that this download has already been applied. BUT the original error message still appears when I open an Office application.

The BCM (Business Contact Manager) installation on the computer might be corrupt. 

Refer to the link below and remove the Business contact Manager Add-in:

    It apparently has to do with Outlook with Business Contact Manager. There's a patch available:Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager: Prevent error message about version mismatch when certain Office 2007 applications are launched.
