Subform Wizard

I am currently using Professional Pro Plus 2010. However, I am not able to create subform using "Subform Wizard". Whenever I try to use 'Exisitng Form' option, the system will prompt me "Invalid procedure call or argument". Even the available forms are not listed in the option box as it normally does during the building steps. Are you able to help on how do I rectify this problem? I have reinstalled the application several times.

So just to confirm even in the brand new dtabase the wizaard fails?  If so the wizaed is corrupt...  The only way I know to fix that is to remove the wizard file and then restore it...

    Folder...

    ...FolderWhereYourOffice14Is\Office14\ACCWIZ

In that folder rename the file called acwzmain.accde to acwzmain.OLD  and acwztool.accde to acwztool.old and then run Repair OR you can copy those files from the DVD to the folder probably quicker and easier to copy) and then try the wizard again.

Don't forget to make sure Access is closed when you do this!

    Hi Gina,

I've tried both ways and still failed. Are there any specific applications that I should not installed which is affecting the function? I have re-installed the whole MS Office but the problem persist.

First I would try to turn off Name AutoCorrect... that little check mark cause all kinds of strange issues.  If no change, I would try creating a brand new database... make two forms and try to create a subform.  If that works then import all your objects into it the clean database.

Please note, even with the new datbase, turn off Name AutoCorrect.

    Hi Gina,

What I did was to create 2 separate forms using the form wizard. The following are the rest of the steps:

    1. Open the main form in design mode
    2. Click on the design tab
    3. Click on the subform/subreport button
    4. First Error - The PoP-Up Form Wizard window does not show any available forms even there are few subforms created
    5. Second Error - When you select 'Use an exisitng form' and click 'Next', it will prompt "Invalid procedure call or argument"

It works perfectly in other PC installation. I tried to reinstall and repair the application but still it don't seems to work.

    Difinis,

That's new... please describe the steps you are going thru to place a subform on a main form.
