Excel not enough resources error

• On Excel 2010 start up I get the error: Not Enough Resources to Display Completely and I can't use the program

Do you face this issue while opening any Workbook in Excel or the Excel Application itself?

Are you able to open other Office applications?

If the issue is related to the Excel application itself, try the following:

Press and hold the Ctrl key and then click on Excel icon to open it in safe mode. If Excel safe works as expected the follow the steps given below to disable add-ins for it:

1.    Open Excel

2.    Click on File> Options> Add-ins

3.    Click on ‘GO’ beside Manage – COM Add-ins, uncheck the listed add-ins one by one and restart Excel to find the problem add-in

I tried the following steps, but I have no COM Add-ins to uncheck.

It's a really serious problem for me as when the error occurs I am unable to save, nor does the Excel sheet crash, so I do not have an Autorecover version as a back up. Despite the fact that I have set my Autorecover option to every ten minutes I have lost hours of work consecutive times.

It has happened when I had multiple Excel files open (to all of them) and for single files as well. I noticed that some have answered this question by saying it is due to having Outlook open, but I had it closed when the error occured.

Please help, it's a reoccurring problem that makes it very difficult to work.
