When I set a form filed option for numbers, letters are still allowed to be  entered. Yes i have started protection. How can I stop letters from being entered.

    Hi Jims,

I'd suggest re-checking your formfield's properties: with the 'Type' set to 'Number' and the 'Number Format' (not the default number) set to '0', alpha-numeric strings will have the letters deleted on exit.

If the field type is set to number and you add a number formatting switch property e.g. 0 then even if you enter letters they should be removed when you tab out of the field e.g. abc123 will produce 123, similarly 123abc will produce 123 1a2b3c will produce 123.

    WHAT???

Perhaps I was not clear enough about the problem. I created a form with Word.  After protecting the form, I am able to enter letters where only numbers should be allowed. The "Text Form Field Options" was set for numbers only.
