Hello, I have accidentally saved a file at the following address on my PC:: C:\Users\Caroline\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Low\Content.IE5\9PUVXB6H\Marknadsundersökning%20frågor_ver%208%20_Carro%20test[1].pptx.

But I can't find it ?? I opened the file via a collaboration site (it is a power-point 2010 file) on the web and forgot that I should have downloaded the file before I started to edit it (I edited and then saved the file). So can you please help me with how to get my file ??

Best Regards Caroline Runsten

You could always search for the file using the Windows search function. Just search for all files with the extension *.pptx and if it is on your system it should come up.

Since you opened the file from a collaboration site, it's possible that it's saved under a temporary name on your PC.   As Japanzaman has suggested, a search for all *.PPTX files might turn it up; look for files saved/created at about the same time as you last saved this file, regardless of the file name it's saved under.

I find the Windows 7 search feature to be worthless for this kind of thing.

There's a great little program called Agent Ransack.  It's free, it's fast and it actually FINDS stuff for you.  You might want to google for it and try it out.
