Run-time error '438': Object doesn't support this property or method

My system is on Vista Business 32 bit OS and Internet Explorer 9, in that Office 2010 (Home and Student edition) and MathType 6.7 are installed. On executing copy and paste functions at the Word application, frequently I am getting an error message that has been displayed in a Visual Basic window as, Run-time error '438': Object doesn't support this property or method, and the application crashes. When I reboot the system, for a while I am not getting this error.  I will be much thankful to have an answer for solving this problem.

The indications suggest a macro or add-in that is in conflict with MathType. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProblemsStartingWord.htm with particular emphasis on the normal template and any other add-ins that may be present .
