When I save a file by over-writing; Excel makes this somewhat annoying sound. How do I change that default sound (and others made by Excel)?
Thanks,

AFAIK, There is no option to change the default sound in Excel. You may have to change the sound for particular task from within the 'Sounds' section for the Operating system.
For example, if you wanted to change the sound Excel makes when it cannot find what you search for--
In Windows, Go to Control Panel > Sound > Sounds
Locate "Exclamation" and select "Browse" to search for the sounds you with to replace it with. For example, you could download a wav file you like.
It just seems unbelievable that the sounds from Excel cannot be changed. Isn't there someone out there who knows how to change Excel sounds? Maybe they have to be changed for the whole MS Office 2010? That would work...but how?
All help on this is greatly appreciated!!
But, when I look in Home / Options and then search for "Provide feedback with dound checkbos" -- I can't find it --- which area is it in?
Also, I want sound feedback; I just want to change the sound that happens now. Will that area allow me to change the sound for "Confirming save as..."?
Thanks, / GE
