Pivot Table 2007 Calculated Item Error

Hi,

I am tring to add a calculated item to a pivot table and it is giving the following error:

"The item cannot be added or modified.  There may not be enough memory, the maximum number of items allowed in a field may have been reached, or if a visual basic macro is performing the operation, the macro may need to be incorrect.

Simplify the pivot table report or check the macro for errors, and then try the operation again."

I have constructed the same pivot table for the last couple of months by merging a current forecast file and previous forecast file and ensuring all the columns, etc. are kept in line so i'm not sure why it has suddenly given this error.  Any ideas?

Rgds,

Nigel

If Nigel's answer doesn't address your problem then you should

    1. Post the actual formula you are creating
    2. Describe the steps you take to make the formula (what field you are in when you start, what commands you use)
