Open the start menu and type word. If you have it installed, it should be found.

You can also open the run window, <WIN><R> and type WINWORD to start word. If that works, you will have to find the executable file, WINWORD.EXE, and right click and drag on to desktop to create a shortcut pointing to it.

I agree with Suzanne that it is a better idea to start a new thread than to reply in a five year old thread.

However, if you are saying that you can't locate Word, for example after installing it or after upgrading to Windows 10, see https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Can-t-find-Office-applications-in-Windows-10-Windows-8-or-Windows-7-907ce545-6ae8-459b-8d9d-de6764a635d6?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US (Can't find Office applications in Windows 10, Windows 8, or Windows 7?).

You have replied to a five-year old post about Word 2010; the version of Windows is not specified but is likely Windows 7 or earlier since Windows 8 was not released until late 2012. If you don't know where the Start menu is, there's a good chance you have Windows 8 or 10 and possibly a later version of Office as well. It would therefore be better for you to start a new thread, specifying your version of Office and Windows, to get better-targeted help.
