.NET Programmability Suport for Microsoft Office is required to install Microsoft Mathematics Add-in

I have been dealing with the same issue, for months.  I do not have click to install.  while i had tech support, they [MS tech support] kept telling me i was trying to install a non-MS add-in, and they could not help me!  why not just admit it doesn't work?

    The error message:

.NET Programmability Support for Microsoft Office is required to install Microsoft Mathematics Add-in

Here's what fixed it for me:

I had to make sure a specific version of .NET framework was enabled.

Make sure .NET 3.5 is enabled.

How to do it: (I'm using windows 8 and office 2013)

      - Control panel

        - Programs and features

          - Turn windows features on or off

              - Enable .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .net 2.0 and 3.0)

    OK. That's the good news.

Bad news is that the add-in is very buggy. It may not have been properly tested with Windows 8 or onenote 2013.

Once the feature is installed, it appears to have focus and/or lockup issues in OneNote.

So far the bug seems to be avoidable if you disable the   "send to one note" app in the system tray. (close/exit)

Also, when graphing an equation you need to select the text box and not leave the caret blinking before clicking the graph button. This seems to avoid the focus and lock-up issues.

Windows 7 Home Premium x64.  And just to clarify, here's step 4 for "Add program features" in the page you sent me (again):

In the Office 2010 Setup dialog box, click Add or Remove Features, and then click Next.

I do not have an option that says "Add or Remove Features".  As soon as I click 'Change' for Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 - English, I get the following message:

    REPAIR MICROSOFT OFFICE CLICK-TO-RUN

Are you sure you want to repair Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 - English?  Starting the repair process closes all open Microsoft Office programs, and all unsaved data will be lost.

[ ] Remove all Office user settings related to this product.

    [ Yes ]     [ No ]

I also have an entry in the Programs and Features list for Microsoft Office Click-to-Run 2010, but that only has 'Uninstall' as the sole action.  Is there another process I can use, one that works with Click-to-Run?

    Installed .Net,

    What we're talking about:

    .Net Framework ?

    This is NOT =

.Net Programmability Support for Microsoft Office

This is a feature of the MS Office Installation.

Look here (in the middle oft he 1st picture, for Excel in the example, you need it for ON):
