wrap text around circular image

I'm sure that I used to be able to use edit wrap points to wrap texts round a circular image (jpg) I've tried that today - the wrap points show up and can be changed but the text still wraps around a rectangle. The only difference editing the wrap points makes is to increas the size of the rectangle!

I used the Office picture shape tool - do I need to use full photo editing program?

Any ideas welcome!

Draw a circle around the image, group, The text should flow around if you bring the image to the front. You may have to do some cropping. You'll never get the image to become round, but you can workaround. There are free image programs around.

Unless I am grossly mistaken the image may be circular but the canvas is always rectangular, irrespective of the format (GIF, TIFF, or JPEG), hence your problem.

I don't know why I didn't think of this before. Draw a circle, fill, picture, browse to your picture. It will fill the circle.
