Code execution has been interrupted

Hi,

I open the excel application and during opening it stops with the error message

'Code execution has been interupted'

I have 3 choices :- Continue, End, Debug(Greyed out), Help

This is the same dialog you get when pressing CTRL+Break to halt a running macro.

I click Continue or End and Excel opens normally.

Immedatly close the application and I get a repeat of the same error.

Note this is the application and not a workbook I'm opening. There are lots of modules in Personal.xlsb but nothing that would execute, the code is all in modules with nothing in personal.xlsb open event.

Any thoughts?

I'm quite familiar with Excel but confess I've never had much interest in its setup and inner workings. How would I reinstall ATP-VBA without doing a full install?

Perhaps this link will be of help...

Open the Add/Remove Programs control panel.

Select Microsoft Office 2007.

Click the Change/Remove button or similar (I don't remember how it worked in XP)

Click Add or Remove Components (again, or something similar)

You will then get the option to enable/disable components: expand Excel > Add-ins > Analysis ToolPak.

To reinstall, you may need your Office DVD.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the ATP is worth a try.

    Hi,

It looks like the the Analysis toolpak - VBA

I consistently gete the error if I load it and don't if I un-check in addins manager.

Any thought on a solution, re-install?
