Error when installing Office 2007: Missing "Standardr.ww\owow64ww.cab" ???

I just had my hard drive completely wiped and Windows 7 installed (used to have Vista).

I'm busy re-installing all of my programs.

Halfway through my Office 2007 install, I get this message:

Setup cannot find Standardr.ww\owow64ww.cab.

Huh?

I've got a perfectly legitimate Office 2007 Standard copy, complete with activation code.  What could be the problem?

Hi

I have never donne this before, so you should have much work and get frustated if not solve your problem, but you can try it!

For me this problem is related to:

1 - Bad Instalation Media

2 - Some Registry keys that you have to delete, but i don't have a clue, wait to see if someone could now.

Try this workaround

Download Standard Trial

Joao, I run everything as Administrator, so I don't think that's the problem.

Guruprasad, I checked out that article you linked, and my response is:  I paid for the software, I shouldn't have to jump through all of those hoops.  It should just work.

I tried to get an answer from Microsoft directly but the way they have their email setup you have to have a "product I.D." to ask a question without being charged.  You can't get a product I.D. unless the product is installed, which means that I have to pay $39 to get an answer about how to install software I've already paid for.  That's stupid and wrong.
