I have Office 2007 and use publisher for our church magazine.

Recently, the line spacings seem to be automatically set to 1.9 and I have to manually change these in every text box.

How do I restore the default settings please?

Are you certain you are using Publisher 2007? The default is 1sp in 2007.

There is an article here, it is for older versions, but it might work for you.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/publisher-help/set-defaults-for-new-text-boxes-in-all-publisher-publications-HA001119681.aspx

Otherwise create a text box with your specs, right-click, add to the Content Library. You can use the Content Library from the Insert menu.
