You can also enable Exposé in System Preferences. If, for instance, you set it to the bottom-right corner, moving the cursor to that position will show a reduced view of all the active windows in any application.

Here is an old video tutorial for Leopard, but the interface hasn't changed. It's a 2½ minute crash course on Exposé:

On a Mac the "add-in" is known as OS X :-) Specific options vary from one version to another, but if you're using Snow Leopard, for example, one method is...

Control-Click the app's icon in the Dock. The contextual menu provides a list by name of the documents currently open in that program. Select what you want.

Also, note the distinction between Command+Tilde, which you referred to & Command+Tab suggested by Phillip. Command+Tab enables switching between app windows rather than document windows.

Regards,

Bob J.

Sorry couldn't describe my question properly.. when multiple word/ excel files are open in office for mac, it is difficult to switch between the open docs (i am aware of command+tilde for switching files open in same software) .. but a add in software e.g. (http://office-tabs.com/) displays open documents as Tabs (similar to tabs in Chrome) which makes it easy to navigate between open docs... this software works only on Windows OS.. I wanted to know if a similar software is available on Mac OS X....

    While not instantaneous,

while in an application hold down Command (⌘)  and click Tab key.

This brings up the applications Switcher.

A Floating Bar show up with all your open applications shown.

Click mouse (or trackpad) on the one you want to switch to.

When you want to switch back repeat and go to the previous application your were in.

I'm not sure precisely what you mean (I googled "Tabbed Enabled Interface" and came up with zero hits), but if you mean something like tabs in browsers, no, there isn't any add-in (Office applications don't have plug-ins)  that will bundle Word/Excel document windows into a single application window.

You don't describe what you find difficult, so it's difficult to make suggestions, but you can arrange windows using Windows/Arrange, you can use a keyboard shortcut to switch between windows, etc. You can use MacOSX spaces/desktops to collect/organize documents or Expose to switch between them.
