A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
Suppose your data is in A1:D10
| P | S | Y | G |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 56871 | 2 | m |
| 2 | 62018 | 12 | f |
| 3 | 47299 | 32 | m |
| 4 | 49614 | 17 | f |
| 5 | 12192 | 23 | m |
| 6 | 73605 | 17 | f |
| 7 | 88838 | 28 | m |
| 8 | 27665 | 8 | f |
Highlight the Salary and Year data and choose Insert, Scatter and pick the style you want.
Next you may want the m/f designation to attach to the data points: in that case download the free chart labeler from
http://www.appspro.com/Utilities/ChartLabeler.htm
Its a good tool to have in any case.
Alternatively you could break the male and female date into separate column
| P | S | YF | YM | G |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 89134 | 13 | f | |
| 4 | 74343 | 2 | f | |
| 6 | 41955 | 7 | f | |
| 8 | 55551 | 26 | f | |
| 1 | 62097 | 17 | m | |
| 3 | 32809 | 15 | m | |
| 5 | 92597 | 9 | m | |
| 7 | 27776 | 28 | m |
And plot the range B1:D9 - that way your two series would have different colors.
