Changing the default language

Hiya

I have been trying to change the default language to English (New Zealand) or English (UK) or English (Australia) any one will do....but it refuses to change from English (US).  I have double clicked on the 'English US' at the bottom of my word document and set the default to something else, but it returns to US.  I have gone to start/programmes/MS Office/MS Office Tools/MS Office 2003 Launguage Settings and done what needed to be done in there, but still I get English US when I restart works.

Any advice??

Thanks

Word has a stubborn tendency to look at the keyboard language in Windows.

Select Start | Control Panel.

Open the Regional and Language Options control panel.

Activate the Languages tab.

Click Details... under Text Services and Input Languages.

Make sure that the default setting uses your preferred language.
