Extra clicks needed

Some slides in my presentations in PowerPoint 97 require more than one-click to advance to the next slide - up to 5 extra clicks needed.  I have checked that there are no  invisible bullet points hanging after he last, and there is no animation.  Why?

I've run into this fairly often, mostly when an object on the slide has a reflection. PPT considers the reflection part of the size of the object, so it makes me have to scroll my mouse's scroll button more than once to advance to the next slide. Even if you can't see the whole reflection, it basically doubles the size of the object....

It also happens sometimes if you have an object that's hanging off the edge of the slide layout in slide master view. It doesn't have to be off by much,, either -- just a hair seems to trigger it.

Did you ever determine the solution to the problem?

    Hi

Are you using 2007 or 1997? Sorry, your post says both... Which version was the presentation created in and which are playing it in?

What is the total size of the presentation? Try playing the presentation in windows safe mode and check.

Refer the link to restart the computer in safe mode:-

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

If it works fine in safe more, check if the latest drivers are installed for the graphics card in the machine.
