One Click will select multiple boxes

I am using Microsoft Office Excel 07 and I have had this happen to me several times in the last couple days. Everything will be fine and then all of a sudden I will click on a box and it will automatically select 3 boxes down. I will click in a different box and it will do the same thing. I will click into a different tab, and it will be fine, then I will go back to the other tab, still acting funky. Anybody have any idea what I am talking about or suggestions?
