I actually found I needed to click within the column on the left side, then it enables the calculated fields option.

I am trying to add a calculated item to a pivot table. When I go to Pivot Table > Formulas – the calculate field option is available, but not the calculated item. I’ve tired several different spreadsheets as data sources. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
