access 2010 export text wizard is missing

Two of my Access2010 (Office2010+SP1) installations, one on Vista7 and one on Win7-64, no longer get to the Export Text Wizard. I open a table or query, click Export Text File, and get the box to pick a filename and specify formatting. I can get to a box to pick character encoding. Nothing past there brings up the dialog to specify options to, say, create a .CSV file with quotes around strings or otherwise muck with export specifications. Advanced Wizards are installed. I have re-registered ACCWIZ.DLL with no change.

Any thoughts how to resolve this will be greatly appreciated!

Do you have the “Export data with formatting and layout” option checked?  If so, I would recommend unchecking this and then see if you get the dialog you would normally expect to see.

If you manually change the proposed file extension to .csv, then you get the wizard. Seems opaque compared to previous versions. Also thought I'd tried it. I guess not.
