Error Code 1714: cannot remove the older version ofMicrosoft Single Image 2010.  Contact PSS.

I am having the same basic problem.  As I was trying to install MS Office 2010 to replace Office 2007.  I have tried each MS Fix It (for Office 2003, 2007, 2010), every MS uninstall tool I can find, CleanC2R (several times) have manually removed (deleted) every Office 2007 module (Word, Excel, etc.), and turned off antivirus and firewall all to no avail.  I still get "Error 1714".  Setup cannot remove the older version ofMicrosoft Office Single Image 2010..."

Is there anything else anyone can think of to resolve this problem?<input id="ylwHoverSearchText" name="q" type="text" value="Microsoft Office" />

Please provide a solution to delete Microsoft Single Image 2010, please.

Refer the article below to uninstall Office 2010/2007 traces from the machine:

Note: Read the disclaimer before modifying the registry. In the article replace office 12 by office 14 for office 2010.

Now reinstall office 2010 and check if the issue occurs.

In addition uninstall the Outlook Connector.

Click on Start > Control Panel > Add or remove Programs
