Problem with shortcut

I cannot open Word 2007 anymore. Every time I try to open word I get an error message saying the installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it. I don't think I have the discs for Office because Dell installed them for me or could have misplaced them. Can someone help me?

You can follow some basic Troubleshooting steps:

1.      Click Start -> Control panel-> Programs ->Programs and Features.

2.      IF there is any other version of office uninstall it (e.g. 2007 Microsoft Office system, Office 2003 Standard etc...).

3.      IF Only Home and Student 2007 is there->click on change.

4.      Click on continue for Add/Remove features.

5.      Click on little arrow attached to Microsoft Office ->click on Run all from My Computer.

6.      Once the configuration get completed click close**.**

7.      Right click on old shortcut icon and delete it.

8.      Click Start -> Computer ->C-DRIVE(c :)-> program files-> Microsoft Office-> Office 12.

9.      Right click on Winword.exe -> send to-> desktop (create shortcut).
