TOC from Multiple Documents using RD Fields

Question

Hi Word gurus,

I am helping a fellow colleague, who has multiple Word documents, and we are creating a TOC in a separate file.  We have inserted the RD fields to the external documents, but the TOC document also has some styles that need including. 

All the data comes in but the other external document info (from the RD fields) appears BEFORE the other headings in the TOC document ... which need to appear first.

Any ideas why this might be happening OR how to overcome it please?

Hi Janine

Have you tried inserting the RD fields AFTER the content in the "container document" that should come first in the TOC? That has usually worked for me.
